About this role
COMMUNITY PLANNER Columbus AFB, Mississippi Summary Click on "Learn more about this agency" button below to view Eligibilities being considered and other IMPORTANT information. The primary purpose of this position is: To serve as a facility space planning professional at an Air Force (AF) installation responsible for managing activities related to human as well as physical aspects of facility planning, to include utilization, optimization, and project planning/programming in support of an installation. Duties Develops and maintains the installation Facility Space Optimization Plan (FSOP) and other facility space studies used as the basis for facility space optimization, and investment decisions. Implements and manages the installation's facility space planning and optimization program by leading the Customer Authorizations (CA) and Facility Space Planning capabilities and supporting the management of accurate customer allocations. Leads the facility space planning function in optimizing the installation facility footprint in support of AF mission and strategic objectives. Integrates and analyzes data elements to ensure effective planning and optimization of installation facility assets.
