AIR REFUELING PLANNER Hickam AFB, Hawaii Summary The primary purpose of this position is to serve as an Air Refueling Director for worldwide refueling planning, management, coordination and execution of all aspects of operational, contingency and exercise air refueling missions. Serves as the 613 AOC/AMD Air Refueling Control Team Subject Matter Expert (SME) supporting Pacific Command (PACOM) Area of Responsibility (AOR) air refueling support with the ultimate responsibility of ensuring efficient use of air refueling assets. Duties Directs and oversees high priority, time sensitive air refueling missions optimizing tanker assets to ensure the safe and efficient operations of air refueling missions flown worldwide. Serves as an Air Refueling Control Team SME for the 613 AOC/AMD, providing air refueling planning for DOD, PACAF and TACC tasked air refueling missions supporting ONE, POTUS, SDM and PACAF Approved Exercises/Service Missions flown within the PACOM AOR. Serves as an Air Refueling SME for the 613 AOC/AMD ensuring all mission planning functions are completed facilitating the sound execution of all PACAF, AMC and DOD directed air refueling missions. Serves as an organizational representative to the Battle Staff in crisis/contingency situations. Evaluates and determines most efficient and practical use of air refueling assets to ensure mission accomplishment. Utilizes various tracking spreadsheets and command automated computer systems developed to streamline the air refueling planning process. Maintains a comprehensive working knowledge of all applicable regulation, directives and procedures necessary to effectively and safely plan and execute air refueling missions.
