Air Force Marathon Programs Director Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio Summary About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Marathon Operations at Wright-Patt AFB. Serves as the senior leader responsible for the strategic direction, financial health, long-range growth, and overall performance of the Department of the Air Force's endurance events enterprise. The position includes paid holidays, leave accrual, participation in Group Health/ Dental and Life Insurance plans, Retirement, 401K and Flexible Benefits plans. Duties Serves as the senior leader responsible for the strategic direction, financial health, long-range growth, and overall performance of the Department of the Air Force's endurance events enterprise. Leads and directs the economic and efficient operation of the Air Force Marathon (AFM) and Space Force (SF) T-10 Miler flagship events. Provides administrative oversight, supervision, and management. Exercises direct supervision over the Air Force Marathon Race Director, Space Force Race Director, and all Functional Directors. Within established guidelines and objectives, develops activities to meet needs of participants while developing within parameters of funding, facility, equipment and staff support. Establishes performance goals, provides mentorship, and conducts annual appraisals to continuously evaluate the effectiveness of staff and on-going marathon activities; identifying how and where the program can be strengthened and improved. Identifies, evaluates, and develops new event opportunities to expand the DAF's endurance portfolio and strategically grow the enterprise. Exercises final budget oversight for the entire enterprise by ensuring development, management, and administration of all monthly, quarterly and annual APF and NAF budget requirements; monitors/explains
