Science Education Coordinator Montgomery County, Maryland Summary We are seeking a dynamic Science Education Coordinator with experience in directing training programs for clinical, basic, and epidemiologic scientists. This ideal candidate will combine strategic vision with sharp analytical judgment to provide technical guidance, develop projects, and ensure all educational initiatives drive our agency's mission forward. Duties As a Science Education Coordinator, your duties will include, but are not limited to the following: Assists in the identification and formulation of program needs to achieve an integrated and responsive effort in the assigned area scientific and administrative reviews and analyses of applications/programs from a programmatic viewpoint. Recommends policies and procedures to improve operations. Communicates with trainees and applicants, IC group members/representatives and others on policy interpretation, and evaluation processes and procedures, and on decisions, concerns, or other issues/matters of training in the career, professional and scientific arenas. Visits universities, research institutions, commercial organizations, other Government agencies, and public and private organizations. Visits are made to promote and explain the objectives of assigned program area; to exchange information; to explain objectives of programs; and to stimulate interest in participation by research groups. Education This position has an education requirement. You are strongly encouraged to submit a copy of your transcripts (or a list of your courses including titles, credit hours completed and grades).
