IT Specialist (Systems Analysis) Multiple Locations Summary This position is located in the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Center for Program Integrity (CPI), Data Analytics and Systems Group (DASG). As a IT Specialist (Systems Analysis), GS-2210-13, you will design, develop, and implement new and modernized information technology (IT) systems to detect fraud, waste, and abuse in Medicare and Medicaid. Duties Analyzes IT needs and requirements, including data access and security, to design systems and recommend appropriate information security controls or application development approaches. Plans and coordinates system designs and development activities for an IT platforms and data access methodologies, including providing guidance to staff or contract personnel. Develops proposals to translate management objectives into IT application systems and reviews short- and long-range projects to improve the effectiveness of existing operational systems. Presents project status and technical information to stakeholders and prepares project documentation such as project plans, schedules, or statements of work.
