IT Specialist (Systems Analysis) Multiple Locations Summary This position is located in the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Center for Medicaid and CHIP Services(CMCS). As a IT Specialist (Systems Analysis), GS-2210-14, you will serves as the Information Technology (IT) Specialist, technical authority and advisor for the division for the design, development, testing, and implementation of systems in support of the Medicaid and CHIP Business Information Solution (MACBIS). Duties Provide technical guidance, direction, task assignment and review, training, leadership, and support to team members, individual and collectively, on matters of Medicaid and CHIP product development, maintenance, and operations. Leads and collaborates with a cross-functional team including human-centered design and research specialists, data analysts, developers, engineers, information technology specialists, and other product development specialists. Provides high level technical expertise, guidance, and advice to all levels of the Center and technical personnel and customers regarding desirability and feasibility of product initiatives. Represents CMCS to contractors and CMCS stakeholders to initiate projects, terminate projects and negotiate issues. Develops effective working relationships with Medicaid and CHIP stakeholders (including federal, state, and local government agencies, and private sector organizations) leading collaborative work sessions when necessary.
