Division Deputy Director Woodlawn, Maryland Summary This position is located in the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Center for Medicaid and CHIP Services CMCS, Division of System Reform Demonstrations (DSRD). As a Supervisory Health Insurance Specialist (Division Deputy Director), GS-0107-14, you will supervise staff and direct the development, management, and review of Medicaid and CHIP Section 1115(a) demonstrations focused on innovation in service delivery and financing. Duties Perform the full range of supervisory duties. Plans work to be accomplished by subordinates, setting and adjusting short- and long- term priorities, and preparing schedules for work completion. Direct and manage the development, submission, and review of Medicaid and CHIP section 1115(a) demonstrations related to innovation in service delivery and financing. Direct the planning, execution, and management of projects pertaining to Medicaid section 1115(a) issues and oversees projects and provides staff-level leadership to project teams. Serve as technical authority for analysts and project officers on section 1115(a) demonstrations, provider reimbursement methodologies, and provider or state incentive programs. Direct the preparation of a variety of technical and non-technical written products, including briefing documents, talking points, special terms and conditions, reports, and issue papers.
