About this role

Security Specialist Pentagon, Arlington, Virginia Summary This position is located in the Office of the Assistant Secretary of War for Special Operations and Low-Intensity Conflict, (OASW(SO/LIC)), Secretariat for Special Operations (SSO). The ASW(SO/LIC) serves as the principal advisor and assistant to the Secretary of War and has statutory responsibility for overseeing special operations-peculiar administrative matters pertaining to the readiness and organization of Special Operations Forces (SOF),resources and equipment, and civilian personnel. Duties Incumbent typical work assignments may include the following: Supports SCI and collateral security programs involving classified and sensitive operations across OASW(SO/LIC). Applies security policies, procedures, and compliance measures in accordance with DoW and Intelligence Community directives. Conducts security reviews, assessments, and evaluations to identify vulnerabilities and recommend corrective actions. Provides guidance to leadership and staff on classified information protection and security program requirements. Coordinates with DoW Components, Intelligence Community agencies, and interagency partners on security-related initiatives and mission support activities. Education Education cannot be substituted for experience. Evaluation In order to be considered for this position, you must complete all required steps in the process.
