School Information Assistant (Office Automation) Yokota Air Base, Japan Summary About the Position: Department of War Education Activity (DoWEA) Pacific East District operates 21 schools located in Japan across 7 communities. There are nearly 900,000 military connected children of all ages worldwide, of which more than 8,000 are enrolled in DoWEA Pacific East District schools. Federal employees in Yokota Air Base, Japan are currently entitled to receive a 10% Post Allowance (COLA) in addition to the base salary (rate subject to change). Duties Perform a variety of school administrative functions such as student registration, student attendance, academic records maintenance, tuition status, and other related processes. Receive data and enter into the student information management database. Prepare a variety of letters, messages, memoranda, reports, charts, school bulletins, and other correspondence using typing and automated word processing equipment and other various software programs. Work in coordination with the administration to construct in the student information management system a viable school master schedule for teachers, e.g., times for preparation periods, lunch times, classroom teaching, etc. Prepare reports for school administration and other personnel from the student information management system database and disseminated to the correct personnel in a timely manner. Education FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited
