PRACTICAL NURSE (FAMILY MEDICINE) Ansbach, Germany Summary About the Position: You will serve as a Practical Nurse (Family Medicine) at the US Army Health Clinic in Ansbach, Germany. The purpose of this position is to perform direct patient care and care coordination activities. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation Duties Obtain information from patient and/or family/guardians/caretakers to identify major complaints, symptoms, or reason for seeking health care. Document patients' chief complaints and other pertinent information in the health record. Take all vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respirations, pain level, height, weight, measurement of head circumference). Assist physicians with various examinations and diagnostic procedures. Screen and review immunization records in accordance with regulations and unit Standard Operating Procedures to select required immunizations, correct dosages, and routes of administration. Administer oxygen, IV fluid and prescribed oral, rectal, subcutaneous and intramuscular medications. Perform both, administrative and logistical task as a member of the healthcare team for the clinic by contributing to maintaining the environment and resources to deliver healthcare. Inform and educate patients and/or family regarding self-care procedures. Education FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
