Pharmacy Technician (Vault) Fort Campbell, Tennessee Summary About the Position: This position is located at Army Community Hospital Blanchfield, Directorate of Clinical Support, Department of Pharmacy Outpatient Pharmacy in Fort Campbell, Tennessee.This is a Direct Hire Solicitation This is a Direct Hire Solicitation Duties Serves as main vault custodian for the Medical Treatment Facility (MTF) responsible for distribution of controlled substances to medication use areas throughout the MTF. Orders, receives, stores, issues, turns in, and/or destroys selected controlled substances, e.g., Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) scheduled narcotics, locally controlled items, and investigational drugs. Receives and processes orders for controlled substances from authorized medication use areas, using thorough knowledge of governing pharmacy and hospital supply regulations and policies applicable to custody of controlled substances. Issues controlled substances to authorized areas, and maintain issue and control documents ensuring that chain of custody is maintained. Ensures accurate inventory control of all controlled substances in accordance with local policy, regulations, and Federal Law. Monitors controlled substances inventory and ensures stock is maintained at appropriate. Serve as the security manager for the pharmacy vault. Education FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
