About this role
Lead Medical Support Assistant (Office Automation) Bethesda, Maryland Summary About the Position: This position is located within the Department of Radiology, Office of the Chief at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, MD. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation Duties Address TRICARE eligible beneficiaries' questions on basic benefits covered by Civilian Health and Medical Program of the Uniformed Services (CHAMPUS), TRICARE, and Medicare. Confirm accuracy and consistency of enrollee information within the Defense Enrollment and Eligibility Reporting System (DEERS), Military Health System's federal electronic health records system (MHS GENESIS) and with other data systems. Verify patient enrollment and eligibility for services, advises beneficiaries regarding the services available in the Military Medical Treatment Facility and how to access those services. Utilize office automation and multiple computer programs to include, GENESIS, and Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, Excel, and Access. Instruct employees with specific tasks and job techniques, and provide written instructions, reference materials and supplies. Suggest process improvements in policies and processes to ensure the quality of product and to increase efficiency, efficacy, and effectiveness of workload.
