IT PROJECT MANAGER Fort Belvoir, Virginia Summary This position may be filled using Direct Hire Authority: Z5CAV/Direct-Hire Authority (Certain DoD Personnel) PL 118-31, Sec 125OB (i)(2), 12/22/2023.This position is being filled under the memorandum from the Under Secretary of Defense for Personnel and Readiness (USD(P&R)) "Expansion of Direct Hire Authority for Certain Personnel of the Department of Defense," dated August 12,2024. This position is part of the Defense Threat Reduction Agency. Duties As a IT PROJECT MANAGER at the GS-2210-13 some of your typical work assignments may include: Manages the full lifecycle of IT projects, contributing to the planning, engineering, integration, and implementation of new technology solutions in line with organizational goals. Contributes to IT governance and resource management by monitoring project budgets, providing data for technology investment justifications, and ensuring the cost-effective use of resources. Works with stakeholders to define project scopes and translate operational needs into detailed technical requirements. Serves as a certified Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) managing the full acquisition lifecycle, from developing pre-award documentation to performing post-award contract administration, while providing direction to contractors, validating deliverables, and ensuring all activities comply with federal acquisition regulations. As a Contracting Officer's Representative (COR), performs oversight of IT contracts, ensuring contractor work aligns with government objectives and validating that deliverables meet specified requirements. Assists with the development and maintaining of comprehensive project plans, tracks progress against milestones, and implements risk mitigation strategies to keep projects on schedule and within budget.
