Health Technician (Audiology) Scott AFB, Illinois Summary About the Position: This position is located at 375th Medical Group at Scott Air Force Base in Illinois. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Student Loan repayment may be authorized. Non-Federal work experience may be creditable for leave purposes. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation Duties Use computer and peripheral equipment to establish baseline and annual hearing thresholds in support of the Hearing Conservation Program. Ensure hearing testing results are posted in the electronic medical record and in any other official record systems. Fit personnel with hearing protection approved for use by Department of War (DoW) personnel. Refer individuals identified via hearing exams for diagnostic examinations by the audiologist. Instruct personnel who fail hearing tests on procedures required for follow-up care. Comply with all applicable laws and regulations as well as established policies, procedures and written instructions. Education FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
