About this role

Food Service Worker Tripler Army Medical Center, Hawaii Summary About the Position: This position is with the Nutrition Care Division, Production and Service Branch located at Tripler Army Medical Center, on the Island of Oahu, HI. Tripler Army Medical Center is a tobacco-free workplace. Tobacco products include, but are not limited to, smoking, smokeless tobacco, and electronic nicotine delivery devices. Duties Perform the complete cycle of centralized patient room service functions. Assemble and portion assigned tray items (prepared main course, hot side items, condiments, salads, desserts, etc.) in accordance with (IAW) patient diet orders. Transport food carts to wards and deliver trays directly to patients IAW established script and standard operating procedures. Take food temperatures to ensure hot and cold foods are maintained at proper temperatures IAW with these standards. Rotate foods on "first in, first out" cycle to prevent spoilage. Clean equipment and work area which includes, mopping, sweeping, cleaning dishes and disposing of food waste, cleaning patient transport carts. Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
