About this role

FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST Multiple Locations Summary This position is being filled under the Direct Hire Authority for Certain Personnel of the Department of Defense using hiring authority in 5 USC 9905. DISA has delegated authority by the Under Secretary of Defense to directly appoint qualified candidates possessing a finance, accounting, management, or actuarial science degree, or a related degree from an accredited college or university in a field of study, or equivalent experience, related to the functions of the position to be filled. Duties Plans and organizes teams to accomplish various financial analyses. Provides training on financial and project management systems and internal business process by analyzing data flows and relationships. Participates in meetings and conference to provide management officials with advice and assistance. Conducts independent studies and analyses and coordinates development of statistics, reconciliation, and extraction of data from automated reports to develop and maintain a variety of diversified special and recurring reports. Education GS-09 Substitution of Education for Experience: Two full years of progressively higher level graduate education, Master's or equivalent graduate degree, may be substituted to meet the specialized experience requirement. Equivalent combinations of successfully completed graduate level education and experience may be used to meet total experience requirements.
