About this role

Dental Laboratory Technician Eglin AFB, Florida Summary About the Position: This position is located at 96TH Medical Group, Eglin AFB, Florida. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Student Loan repayment may be authorized. Non-Federal work experience may be creditable for leave purposes. Duties Participate in the design and fabrication of very complex dental prostheses or intra-oral maxillofacial appliances in support of oral surgeons, periodontists, prosthodontists, orthodontists, general dentists and medical specialists. Accurately develop precise occlusion, form, and color to match porcelain and/or acrylic restorations to natural tissue and dentition. Construct special dentures for severely tilted or mal-opposed teeth. Check for correct occlusion of prostheses by mounting on articulators. Resolve technical problems with unusually close tolerances, retention, and balance on natural teeth and tissue. Fabricate working and master dies, physically or digitally. Conduct classroom and laboratory instruction for dental laboratory technicians at lower grades.
