Advanced Practice Nurse (Nurse Practitioner/Occupational Health) Groton Submarine Base, Connecticut Summary About the Position: This position is located at Naval Branch Health Clinic Groton, Groton, Connecticut. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Non-Federal work experience may be creditable for leave purposes. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation Duties Organize and direct the Occupational Medicine and Preventive Med program. Supervise and evaluate Occupational Medicine personnel in the clinic at the medical treatment facility. Inspect facilities and conducts periodic audit of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) programs for compliance with regulations. Provide medical assessment, diagnosis, and treatment according to standardized medical protocols for occupational and non-occupational illnesses. Prescribe pharmaceuticals in compliance with DHA privileges for Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants. Education FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
