Supervisor - Accounting Trinidad and Tobago Job Summary The Supervisor - Accounting ensures that business transactions are properly recorded in the Company's financial statements and assists in the preparation of monthly and quarterly operational performance variance analyses and various ad hoc reports as needed. This role also plays a critical part in maintaining the integrity of financial reporting, planning, receivables, payables, banking, taxes, intercompany, and supporting process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency. Principal Duties and Responsibilities Analyzes the Company's operating results and develops revenue/expense variance reports and presentations for internal and external reporting. Liaises with operations management to provide accounting support, management information analysis, and recommendations. Participates in the month-end close process and supports monthly close activities, including calculating and processing monthly accrual and deferred expense journal entries, and performing a detailed review of operating results and statistics. Performs and reviews account reconciliations and journal entries to ensure the accuracy and validity of accounting transactions and the Company's books and records. Completes special projects assigned by management, including designing and implementing internal financial reporting, identifying process improvement opportunities, and suggesting potential solutions. Responds to internal and external auditor requests for support documentation. Supports the effective operation of the Company's internal controls. Stay on top of all local financial and administrative obligations and deliverables, including but not limited to: AR, AP, taxes, audits, licenses, local content requirements, banking, and intercompany matters (MSAs and Bareboat contracts).
