About this role

Outsourced Accounting Manager Boston, MA, United States #LI-MC3 #LI-Hybrid Essential Functions and Primary Duties Manage daily accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger maintenance and financial close process. Prepare or review client's internal financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP or other relevant accounting standards Assist clients with developing and/or managing the organization's budget and providing financial and forecast (as needed) Coordinate reporting requirements with external auditors and tax accountants (as needed) Make recommendations for changes as needed, and ensure that company policies and procedures are followed Maintain client relationships and assist with engagement billings Manage various outsourced accounting services engagements and facilitate training of outsourced accounting team members (as needed) Assistance with Job costing, including: Review of indirect cost allocation Review of posting of direct labor costs and use of labor burdens Understanding of contract budgeting process Evaluation of costs to complete Contract change order and budget adjustment impact Review of reasonableness of revenue adjustments Review of union payroll and certified payroll reporting and related filings Assists clients with banking and bonding company financial requests Preferred Qualifications A hybrid of public accounting and private company experience Hands-on experience with various accounting processes, such as accounts payable, billing, payroll and financial close In-depth knowledge of US GAAP.
