Black Thunder Mine - Engineering Technician Wright, WY, USA Black Thunder Mine - Engineering Technician Wright, WY, USA Posted Thursday, April 23, 2026 Engineering Technician (Surveyor) Black Thunder Mine JOB LOCATION: Black Thunder Mine, Wright, WY FLSA CLASSIFICATION: Exempt GRADE ASSIGNMENT: NX.09 NUMBER OF OPENINGS: 1 RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: Oversee the surface surveying effort. Perform surface surveying as part of the surveying team. Prepare reports and update mine maps and profiles using AutoCAD and Microsoft Office. Maintain AutoCAD and I-Site files. Work with engineers in design of new mine projections and projects. Interface daily with supervisors. All work must be performed in strict compliance with established environmental and safety procedures. Other duties as assigned. REQUIRED SKILLS, EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Associate degree in surveying - qualified experience may be substituted for degree. Proficient with AutoCAD and I-Site Studio software. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite. Proficient with setup and operation of survey level equipment. Proficient with setup and operation of Trimble GPS and I-Site survey equipment. Solid knowledge and experience of surveying fundamentals, calculations, and note taking techniques.
