Urology Surgical Tech Coordinator UNAVAILABLE, UNAVAILABLE, UNAVAILABLE Where You'll Work At CHI Health Creighton University Medical Center - Bergan Mercy, our focus is patient-centered care. Our level I trauma center and academic medical center campus is designed to heal the body, mind, and spirit of every person in a more comfortable, less stressful hospital environment. Our full range of medical services includes trauma services, heart and vascular care, emergency services, surgery, maternity, cancer care, and diagnostic imaging. Job Summary and Responsibilities Works with the OR RN Clinical Coordinator to evaluate surgeon requests for new instruments. Coordinates with the OR RN Clinical Coordinator, Sterile Processing manager, vendors and surgeon offices for specific surgical case needs. Works with materials management & sterile processing staff and OR RN Clinical Coordinator to inventory specialty items, check outdates on products, and talk to product representatives about costs and requested products. Periodically reviews specialty case cart supplies, custom packs, etc., to determine cost effectiveness. Works with OR RN Clinical Coordinator and Billing & Documentation specialist on preference cards and preference card changes. Acts as a preceptor for all new staff members. Provides input in the hiring process. Is a resource for the OR RN Clinical Coordinator regarding changes and management of equipment, personal preference cards or staffing issues.
