Pull mats from the conveyor and place them on the cart or directly on the trimming table. Use trimming machine to cut and remove excess rubber from the mat borders. Use "Border Width Gage" to verify the edot width - all four sides must be uniform in width and thickness per customer spec. Inspect top and bottom of the mat during every step of the trimming process for quality defects. Segregate defective mats. If the mat has a border issue then remove the border in question. If the mat has a backing issue mark the area with chalk. If the mat has a carpet issue most likely this mat will be scrapped, so do not mix with the rejected mats.
