About this role

Robotics Field Engineer Field | OnSite As a Robotics Field Engineer (aka Robotic Factory Operator) at Charge Robotics, you'll be full-time in the field working on the most critical operation at our company: running, troubleshooting, and improving our robotic factory that installs utility-scale solar farms. You'll work closely with both engineering and field operations teams to deploy a first-of-its-kind robotic solar installation system that will install gigawatts of clean power generation. What you'll be doing: - Operating the software that runs our state-of-the-art robotic factory and fleet of delivery vehicles on solar construction sites across the US - Troubleshooting, resolving, and documenting electromechanical issues that come up while operating the factory in field - Assigning tasks to field team members to ensure materials are loaded correctly and efficiently into the factory - Working with the engineering team to improve factory user experience and build efficiency You: - Are available for full-time field travel (a per diem stipend will be provided to cover housing and food) - Have an engineering or technical degree in computer science, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, robotics, mechatronics, or a related field - Are familiar with programming, networking, and command line workflows - Are comfortable doing mechanical troubleshooting of industrial automation hardware such as robotic arms, conveyors, motors, actuators, and more - Are a critical thinker and fast learner who can operate effectively in tough physical conditions in field and under pressure - Have a resilient, positive attitude and like working on a team - Will follow
