URGENT: Home Health Nurse- LPN/ RN Saint Louis, Michigan, United States Position Overview We are seeking a compassionate, highly skilled nurse to provide 1-on-1 care for a female patient with complex medical needs in a warm, family-oriented home environment. The patient is a beloved matriarch of a large, supportive family and requires a dedicated nurse to manage multi-system health challenges. This is a highly desirable case with an incredibly supportive, close-knit family in a beautiful, smoke-free, pet-free home. This family has been together for 68 years, has 11 children (plus 2 adopted), and provides exceptional support t o the nurses in their home. A caregiver is also present for her husband, a Korean War veteran. The Clinical Details - Patient: 85-year-old female. - Care Needs: Trach care, indwelling catheter management, and total care (non-weight bearing). - Medical Profile: History of stroke/TIAs, Type II Diabetes (insulin-dependent), bilateral foot drop, and oxygen PRN. - Environment: A high-support home with a very involved family. She is hard of hearing (uses hearing aids), so a patient and clear communicator is a must. Clinical Needs: Trach care, total care (non-weight-bearing), indwelling catheter, oxygen PRN, Type II diabetes with insulin, bilateral foot drop, diabetic neuropathy, chronic UTIs, history of stroke and TIAs. Available Shifts - Days: 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM (Thursdays). - Nights: 8:00 PM - 8:00 AM (Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Every Other Friday/Saturday). Responsibilities - Provide skilled nursing care (trach/vent care, medication administration, catheter care) - Monitor and document patient condition
