About this role
Environmental Engineer 4 At CDM Smith you'll work with a diverse, dynamic team applying the latest technologies to analyze, assess, rehabilitate, renew, and expand critical water, sewer, stormwater, process, and chemical conveyance systems. You'll thrive in a supportive, collaborative, and mentorship-driven environment that encourages professional growth and continuous learning as you further your expertise. We are currently seeking an experienced Environmental Engineer to support water-related projects for a diverse client base. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to work independently as well as lead multidisciplinary teams of engineers and scientists. Water-sector experience will be considered on an individual basis, but experience in the following bullets is preferred. Roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: • Develop, review, and approve basic to moderately complex engineering designs for: Water and wastewater treatment facilities, Water and sewer systems, Pipelines and Pump station engineering • Ensure all project designs comply with state, and local regulations. • Apply firm policies, procedures, and best practices across all engineering deliverables. • Conduct site visits, field reviews, and technical studies to verify design requirements and site-specific conditions. • Update project design criteria as needed throughout project development. • Contribute to CDM Smith's technical leadership by preparing and submitting technical papers, abstracts, and conference presentations. • Collaborate with sales and client service teams to prepare proposals in response to Requests for Proposals (RFPs). • Meet with current and prospective clients to understand and support their evolving design and project needs. • Represent CDM Smith at conferences
