About this role

Network and Cyber Systems Engineer Manassas, VA, US Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field, plus 1 year of relevant work experience; or Master's degree. Responsibilities for this Position ROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES: As a Network and Cyber System Engineer on the MIT team, you will execute cybersecurity operations and network engineering tasks across secure environments. This is a dual-role position split evenly between cybersecurity engineering and network engineering. You will contribute to maintaining the security posture and operation of information systems while performing the configuration, troubleshooting, and design support of network infrastructure. The ideal candidate brings developing expertise across both disciplines, demonstrates initiative on assignments, and is comfortable working with moderate supervision in a mission-focused environment. CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required. Expected Tasking: Perform day-to-day operation and maintenance of secure network infrastructures such as SIPRNet and other classified networks.
