Job Description: Assist the department managers in the overall operation of the department by completing assigned duties, and by serving in the capacity of the department manager in his/her absence of the manager. Job Functions Train and supervise employees. Use verbal and written communication between departments and co-workers. Monitor performance to ensure adequate cleanliness and stock level of guest rooms. Physically inspect guest rooms. Assist with establishing department guidelines, rules and regulations, and training programs. Handle customer complaints and concerns. Prepare requisitions, reports, correspondence, and forms relative to the operations of the department. Operate vacuum cleaners and shampoo machines. Clean and dust, including closest shelves, picture frames, mirrors, tubs and showers. Lead special projects as assigned. Qualifications: Two (2) years of related supervisory, training or work experience preferred. Knowledgeable about proper housekeeping techniques, implements, and handling of chemicals.
