Position Purpose Summary: BlueLinx Corporation is looking for an Engineered Lumber Field Technical Representative in the Gulf Coast District of Florida, Alabama, Mississippi & Louisiana to include the following duties: Brand Specific Market Demand Creation through pull through efforts with Contractors, Engineers, Architects, Developers and Lumber Dealers Handle Bidding, Takeoffs, Pricing and Positioning of Engineered Lumber Manager process of Presenting, Overcoming Objections, Creating Value and Closing the Sale Specify Engineered Lumber Plans, Specify Technical Data, Qualify Customers and End User Needs Conduct Software & Product Training Create Design Illustrations based from blueprints to produce working drawings for fabrications Evaluate designs to ensure standards are met Support Sales, Customers & End Users with technical issues Job Description: Preferred Knowledge/Experience: Sales or Distribution Experience with Engineered Lumber or Truss Design Residential Construction and Framing experience Product selection, product information, and pricing experience Handle Inventory and pricing
