About this role

Tinsmith (Grades 7 - 9) Bath, ME, US Job Description The pay range for this position ranges from $30.04/hr - $33.36hr. This is an experienced position to work in the Tinsmith Trade. Applicants will be assigned any Tinsmith trade function, including (but not limited to): Fabrication of items made from sheet metal, steel, stainless steel, and aluminum such as hull outfit foundations, lockers, bunks, shelving, ventilation, guards, tables, counter tops, racks, etc, using fabrication sketches and drawings. Installing items on units or on ships including (but not limited to): shelving, ventilation, guards tables, racks and countertops, layout and install hull outfit foundations, curtain plate and deck shoe, joiner bulkheads etc., using blue prints. Fabricating and installing main engine and generator exhaust and intakes using fabrication sketches and drawings. Required/Preferred Education/Training Required: Minimum of 2 years in Technical or vocational training in tinsmith or carpentry trade Preferred: High School Diploma or GED Required/Preferred Experience Required: Minimum of 2 years of experience in metal fabrication or installation of steel and outfit items Must be able to read blue prints in detail Must be able to read a tape measure, and perform complex layout Must meet the requirements of the Tinsmith physical task analysis
