Senior Planner, Engineering Brunswick, ME, US Job Description Operating under the BIW Business Operating System (BOS), the Sr. Planner ensures compliance with safety, quality, and performance standards while coordinating with other key stakeholders to meet overall milestones. Key Responsibilities Safety Leadership: Take personal responsibility for your own safety through hazard identification and mitigation. Ensure practices/processes are safely executed. Communicate safety concerns and model safe behaviors. Project Execution: Update and maintain ship, availability and alteration specific data in the Planning Yard Hull Interface directly with various Planning Yard and Navy information systems to electronically Provide Project Management (PM) products and services for various projects as assigned. Develop weekly/monthly/quarterly metrics as needed. Training & Development: Participate in annual Port Engineer Training events at CROF. Assist other PY functional groups with navigation, training or other HMS related ship, availability and alteration data related questions. Team Collaboration and Communication: Work directly with various Navy activities to support the maintenance of HMS data and development of availability analysis products. Develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with various internal and external Continuous Improvement: Utilize the A3 methodology and BIW's BOS to continually improve quality and results.
