About this role

Material Handler (Grades 4 - 6) - All Shifts Bath, ME, US; Brunswick, ME, US Job Description Pay range for this position is $28.39/hr - $29.48/hr. This is a mid-level position to work as a Material Handler. Applicants may be assigned any Material Handler Trade tasks, but will initially be assigned to operate equipment including (but not limited to): receive/issue material at Warehouses and Facilities, maintain accurate inventory, operate fork lifts, operate barcode scanners and operate hand tools (Banders, etc.) Required/Preferred Education/Training Previous fork-lift experience required with the ability to demonstrate proficiency at time of interview. High School Diploma or GED preferred. Required/Preferred Experience Previous forklift experience with demonstrated proficiency required. More than 1 year of warehousing experience preferred. Previous BIW Material Handling experience or familiarity with BIW material Handling process preferred. Intermediate computer skills and use of barcode scanners. Must meet the requirements of the Material Handler physical task analysis, to include climbing stairs/ladders and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Must have a valid driver's license.
