About the Role Base is hiring a Government Affairs Lead to monitor the legislative environment across the country, build relationships at the state and local level, and spearhead policy changes as we expand across the country. This is a senior, high-ownership role on a small team - the person who takes it will help set the legislative strategy, build the coalitions, and manage internal and external resources to effect change. Base operates in a heavily regulated environment. Every state we enter has its own legislative dynamics, powerful stakeholders, and interconnection requirements. As we scale from a handful of active markets to dozens, the ability to shape favorable policy, educate stakeholders, and move fast in new markets is a core competitive advantage. You'll be a member of the Legal, Regulatory, Policy Team and will work closely with our operating teams to compound that advantage.
