We are engineers, operators, and creatives solving some of the most complex, interdisciplinary challenges of our time. About the Role As a Deployment Engineering Intern, you'll get hands-on experience supporting the team that serves as Base's mission control for field operations. You'll work alongside experienced engineers and electricians in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment, helping to keep every battery installation and service call safe, efficient, and successful. You'll learn by doing - and what you do will directly impact how we deliver affordable energy at scale. What You'll Do - Collaborate with Deployment Engineers to support field crews during live installations and service calls. - Participate in real-time troubleshooting alongside experienced engineers over phone, text, and Slack. - Support fleet monitoring using tools like Grafana and Retool to flag system health issues and surface trends. - Help create and maintain troubleshooting aids, hardware defect logs, and deployment playbooks. - Analyze patterns from field interactions to identify recurring issues and improvement opportunities. - Contribute to cross-team conversations with hardware, software, and Member Experience to share what's coming back from the field. What You'll Bring - Current junior or senior in an undergraduate program, or a graduate student, in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
