About this role

Construction Project Manager Austin, TX, Austin, Texas, United States About Base Base is America's next-generation power company. We're rebuilding the foundation of modern civilization-electricity-by deploying a vast network of distributed batteries that is transforming today's fragile, centralized grid into a resilient and abundant system. We are engineers, operators, and creatives solving some of the most complex, interdisciplinary challenges of our time. About the Role The Construction Project Manager serves as Base Power's owner's representative across assigned capital construction projects. This role is responsible for the full project lifecycle - from design coordination through construction closeout - with direct accountability for schedule, budget, and scope performance. The position operates within the Infrastructure & Development team and manages external project stakeholders including general contractors, architects, engineers of record, and specialty consultants. The Construction Project Manager does not perform field construction work directly; instead, they are responsible for contractor oversight, design management, and ensuring project delivery meets Base Power's operational and business requirements. This role requires strong technical judgment, disciplined project controls, and the ability to communicate complex construction issues clearly to internal leadership and cross-functional teams. What You'll Do - Serve as Base Power's primary owner's representative on assigned construction projects, managing contractor performance, design consultant deliverables, and vendor relationships through all project phases - Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and scope documentation; track variance, review change orders, and report project status to the Infrastructure & Development Lead on a regular cadence - Manage design and engineering consultant activities, including review
