About this role

Test Operator, Shift 3 Midland, Texas, United States AST SpaceMobile is building the first and only global cellular broadband network in space to operate directly with standard, unmodified mobile devices based on our extensive IP and patent portfolio and designed for both commercial and government applications. Our engineers and space scientists are on a mission to eliminate the connectivity gaps faced by today's five billion mobile subscribers and finally bring broadband to the billions who remain unconnected. Position Overview We are seeking a Test Operator to support the execution of electrical and environmental tests on satellites and satellite subsystems. This entry-level role is ideal for individuals with a strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn in a highly regulated, technical environment. Key Responsibilities - Execute basic test procedures under direct supervision - Assist in setup and operation of standard test equipment - Record and report test data accurately - Support basic troubleshooting under guidance - Follow ESD, cleanroom, and safety protocols at all times - Maintain cleanliness of test areas and equipment Qualifications Education: High school diploma or GED required Experience: A minimum of 0-1 year of relevant experience or recent technical/vocational training Preferred Qualifications - Basic understanding of electronics or test equipment - Familiarity with cleanroom procedures and safety protocols - Prior experience in a manufacturing or testing environment - Experience conducting and monitoring vibration testing on satellite components and assemblies to ensure compliance with aerospace standards and accurately simulate launch conditions Soft Skills - Strong attention
