Technician I (Dayshift or nightshift, Mon-Thurs) Midland, Texas, United States AST SpaceMobile is building the first and only global cellular broadband network in space to operate directly with standard, unmodified mobile devices based on our extensive IP and patent portfolio and designed for both commercial and government applications. Our engineers and space scientists are on a mission to eliminate the connectivity gaps faced by today's five billion mobile subscribers and finally bring broadband to the billions who remain unconnected. Position Overview: The Technician I will work in a manufacturing environment, performing tasks related to assembly and production of parts for satellite systems. The rate for this role starts at $20 an hour. Available shifts: 1.) Monday-Thursday 7:30am to 5:30pm OR 2.) Monday-Thursday, 6:00pm 4:30am (Nightshift is a base pay of $20/hr + 10% shift differential) Depending on business needs, this role may also have opportunities on: - Shift 3- Weekends: Friday-Sunday, 6:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. (3x12s). - Shift 4- Weekends/Nights: Friday-Sunday, 6:00 p.m.-6:00 a.m. (3x12s). Duties and Responsibilities: - Works as part of a production team to assemble parts. - Sorts and places material or items on tables, racks or bins. - Assembles satellite sub-assembly parts manually. - Uses various hand tools, measuring and test equipment. - Cleans assembled parts and places in protective bags or boxes. - Packs, seals and moves boxes. - Picks up, moves and sorts small parts. - Uses small tools and jigs to manipulate parts for assembly. - Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
