Quality Engineer- Night Shift Midland, Texas, United States AST SpaceMobile is building the first and only global cellular broadband network in space to operate directly with standard, unmodified mobile devices based on our extensive IP and patent portfolio and designed for both commercial and government applications. Our engineers and space scientists are on a mission to eliminate the connectivity gaps faced by today's five billion mobile subscribers and finally bring broadband to the billions who remain unconnected. Position Overview We are seeking a Quality Engineer to provide quality assurance support to the product development team, resolving bugs, defects, and other potential issues and ensuring that specifications are met. This position is the night shift which is Monday through Thursday 6 pm to 4 am (4x10s) with a 10% shift pay premium. Key Responsibilities - Prepare, maintain, and review quality assurance procedures to assure compliance with customer and or government requirements - Develop sampling plans, quality standards, and process control instructions for use by manufacturing in monitoring and reducing variation - Support the implementation of Product Assurance Plans (PAPs) and implement program strategies, policies, and procedures necessary to ensure compliance with internal practices and requirements - Analyze data of production runs to ensure parts produced meet customer requirements - Develop and initiate standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation - Drive manufacturing efficiency improvements by evaluating plant-wide processes and applying process control methods or process changes as necessary - Perform quality reviews and drive disposition of nonconforming material and generate
