Procurement Buyer Midland, Texas, United States AST SpaceMobile is building the first and only global cellular broadband network in space to operate directly with standard, unmodified mobile devices based on our extensive IP and patent portfolio and designed for both commercial and government applications. Our engineers and space scientists are on a mission to eliminate the connectivity gaps faced by today's five billion mobile subscribers and finally bring broadband to the billions who remain unconnected. Summary: - The Buyer is responsible for assisting in the selection and purchasing of quality products at our Production facility in Midland, TX from a group of suppliers globally and or domestic along with the On time delivery of such goods. Duties and Responsibilities: - Buying direct material parts from global suppliers - Negotiating pricing and terms with suppliers - Providing buying benefits such as savings, better lead times, terms, when buying parts - Assurance of supply on timely matter, following thru from ordering to delivery - Transacting and Placing Purchase Orders for Direct Material Needs in our Netsuite System - Maintaining records and estimated dates for deliveries in the system Netsuite - Keeping Supplier and parts attributes in Netsuite up to date - Owning Supplier Leadtimes and working on improving them. - Owning Procrument-Receiving issues and disputed items resolution process for buy - Resolving Supplier Accounts Payable disputes - Assist in maintaining current inventory. - Assists in research, analysis, and forecasting of current and future buying trends, and products. - Maintains relationships with assigned
