Maintenance Technician Level 1,2,3, - Shift 2 Midland, Texas, United States AST SpaceMobile is building the first and only global cellular broadband network in space to operate directly with standard, unmodified mobile devices based on our extensive IP and patent portfolio and designed for both commercial and government applications. Our engineers and space scientists are on a mission to eliminate the connectivity gaps faced by today's five billion mobile subscribers and finally bring broadband to the billions who remain unconnected. Position Overview The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production and shop equipment in a manufacturing environment. This position ensures all systems and machinery operate efficiently and safely while supporting preventive maintenance programs and continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities: - Maintain production and shop equipment in satisfactory condition under the direction of the Equipment Maintenance Manager. - Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment faults. - Perform scheduled Preventive Maintenance (PM) activities as required to ensure equipment reliability. - Document all repairs, parts usage, and PMs in the CMMS or similar maintenance software. - Install, align, and calibrate mechanical and electrical components as needed. - Use precision tools such as calipers, multimeters, and alignment devices for diagnostics. - Support continuous improvement efforts and perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Education: - Associate's degree in industrial maintenance, mechatronics, electronics, or related field. - Equivalent experience, military training, or vocational education may be considered. Experience: Minimum of 3 years' experience in pneumatics, hydraulics, or electromechanical maintenance
