About this role

Director of Global Compliance US - Remote AST SpaceMobile is building the first and only global cellular broadband network in space to operate directly with standard, unmodified mobile devices based on our extensive IP and patent portfolio and designed for both commercial and government applications. Our engineers and space scientists are on a mission to eliminate the connectivity gaps faced by today's five billion mobile subscribers and finally bring broadband to the billions who remain unconnected. Position Overview We are seeking a Director of Global Compliance to lead and oversee export and trade compliance programs across a global organization. This individual will be responsible for ensuring compliance with U.S. and international regulations, developing robust compliance strategies, and partnering with cross-functional and international teams to support business operations in a highly regulated environment. Key Responsibilities: - Oversee and direct company-wide export and trade compliance programs to ensure adherence to applicable laws and regulations - Obtain, maintain, and monitor U.S. government export/import licenses, agreements, and authorizations under relevant regulatory frameworks and platforms (e.g., EAR/SNAP-R, ITAR/DECCS, and similar). - Draft and file ITAR Technical Assistance Agreements, Manufacturing Licensing Agreements, and foreign launch Technology Transfer Control Plans, and domestic Technology Control Plans - Serve as the organization's designated Empowered Official for regulatory filings, registrations, and government applications - Act as a subject matter expert in export compliance across multiple business units and global operations - Collaborate closely with government agencies and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with all applicable export and trade requirements -
