The Role: We are currently recruiting for a Shift Engineer to join our Engineering team based in Bishop's Stortford. This is a full-time role that operates on a shift basis, providing essential 24/7 engineering support to our production operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and improving the performance of production machinery, ensuring equipment is safe, reliable, and operating at maximum efficiency. You will play a key role in reducing downtime and supporting the delivery of the production plan. You will work closely with operators to help them optimise machinery performance and develop their mechanical skills. You will also collaborate with the Engineering Co-Ordinator and other engineers to carry out planned and reactive maintenance, ensuring that any issues are resolved quickly and effectively.
