Lineboat Chief Engineer - St. Louis, MO Lineboat Chief Engineer - St. Louis, MO This is a full time, exempt level position. Position Summary: ADM is seeking a skilled engineer to work under the direction of a Port Engineer and Captain on a lineboat at American River Transportation Company (ARTCo). Job Responsibilities: - Manager of all repairs, maintenance, engine room, and general housekeeping - Works with Captain and other officers to ensure smooth, efficient and effective performance of the vessel - Keeping detailed records for their assigned vessel - Use of Maximo for ordering - Supervises, trains and mentors junior engineering personnel - Assist the captain and mate with required vessel reports in compliance with environmental, safety and USCG regulations and report any problems or damage - Report all injuries, illnesses, and near misses in a timely manner, and review - Additional duties and responsibilities as required or requested Job Requirements: - Reading and writing skills sufficient to comprehend/complete a variety of documents - Ability to work in a flexible schedule; allowance for changes in assignments, and priorities depending upon identified needs - Work well independently as well as part of a team - Ability to work in all types of climates - Promote the ADM Way and core values - Have a proven history of safe work behavior and a sincere desire to follow and improve upon safety policies and procedures - Willingness to work a 28 days on and 28 days off schedule - Current Transportation Worker Identification
