Environmental Engineer - Decatur, IL Environmental Engineer - Decatur, IL An opportunity has arisen for an Environmental Engineer located in Decatur, IL. This role will be a part of the operations team and will assist the site Environmental Manager with supporting the Decatur Cogeneration, Wastewater Treatment, and North Water Treatment Plants Main Responsibilities: - Support the site Environmental Manager with monitoring each designated site's activities and implement actions to ensure compliance with all ADM, federal, state and local government regulations as related to environmental regulations and requirements. - Assist with the training of employees and contractors related to environmental programs. - Assist with the preparation of required reports and maintain all necessary records/documentation related to environmental programs for the facility. - Understand federal, state, and local environmental regulatory policies and monitor changes to environmental laws, regulations and guidelines. - Participate in and lead, where appropriate, all internal and external environmental audits or environmental agency visits and prioritize, assign and track the audit findings for completion. - Travel on occasion for meetings, training, etc. - Assist with maintaining and managing the site's EMS including, but not limited to policy, standardization, procedure development, incident investigations - root cause analyses, risk reduction efforts, inspections, audits and training. Skills: - Strong problem solving, diagnostic and analytical skills, with a results focused approach. - Strong leadership and change management skills. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, acts as a reliable pro-active communicator. - Strong presentation and writing skills. - Sound project/program management skills. - Excellent
