Senior Software Triage & Automation Engineer Seattle, United States of America Join the Apple Service Engineering (ASE) team and drive innovation that matters! The ASE team builds and provides systems and infrastructure that fuel Apple's services. As part of this team, you will be responsible for building and integrating technologies that enhance people's lives. We are also tasked with enabling Apple Intelligence and Private Cloud Compute in the cloud. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Triage & Automation Engineer with a proven track record of developing technology that has made a significant impact. The ideal candidate possesses expertise in debugging, analyzing, and triaging complex issues across diverse stack elements, encompassing iOS, macOS, and cloud-based software components. This role necessitates a solid foundation in programming languages used for building these systems (such as C, C++, Objective-C, or Swift), complemented by proficient Python skills for automation and data analysis. These capabilities will facilitate the reduction of manual triaging effort and expedite issue resolution. The candidate will also demonstrate exceptional analytical abilities, communication skills, and a structured problem-solving approach. This role serves as the initial line of defense for incoming issues involving investigation, categorization, root-cause hypothesis generation, providing updates to leadership, and offering guidance to development teams. Concurrently, the candidate will design systems to automate these processes. By combining hands-on debugging with strategic automation, the candidate contributes to faster resolution and higher product reliability.
