About this role
Senior Manager, Manufacturing & Environmental Software Cupertino, United States of America We're looking for a Senior Manager to lead both Product and Engineering across multiple platforms and applications. In this role, you'll own the product vision end-to-end, from strategy and roadmap to hands-on execution with cross-functional teams spanning Product Managers, Designers, Software and Platform Engineers. You'll be a people-first leader who can grow and mentor a high-performing team while aligning everyone around a shared vision and navigating trade-offs between user experience, technical feasibility, and delivery timelines. You'll be embedded within the Manufacturing Design and Environmental Systems orgs, and managing a team distributed between Cupertino and Austin. Our team builds the applications and custom AI agents that enable Apple to manufacture every product we ship - it's high impact work at the core of Apple's operations. You'll be someone who anticipates problems without over-architecting solutions, and who can distill complex challenges into clear, simple outcomes. You'll also travel to Shanghai once a year to connect with our in-region counterparts and the end users who depend on what we build. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field 10+ years managing software engineering or product teams 5+ years leading a combined Product and Engineering organization with full cross-functional ownership across Product Management, Design, and Engineering Strong understanding of software development, APIs, and platform/infrastructure concepts Proven track record of defining and delivering a product vision across multiple applications Ability to translate ambiguous business problems into clear product solutions Experience partnering with senior stakeholders
