About this role

Manager, Software Engineering, Tools Cupertino, United States of America We are hiring an Engineering Manager to lead our Internal Tools team. This role focuses on team leadership, culture maintenance, and project delivery. The team is focused on internal users, and develops applications using a variety of languages. The manager's primary responsibility will be to support the team and ensure the successful delivery of internal software solutions. The Software Engineering Manager will oversee a team responsible for building and maintaining internal software systems. Key responsibilities include: • Team Leadership: Manage, coach, and mentor software engineers. Conduct performance reviews and support professional development. • Culture Development: Foster a productive and inclusive team environment. Promote effective communication and collaboration. • Planning & Execution: Collaborate with stakeholders to define team roadmaps, prioritize projects, and allocate resources. Ensure timely delivery of software. • Process Improvement: Implement and refine development processes to improve team efficiency. • Technical Understanding: Maintain an understanding of the team's technical architecture and guide technical discussions. Address technical debt and ensure solutions are scalable and maintainable. • Hiring: Participate in the recruitment and onboarding of new engineering talent. • Collaboration: Coordinate with other departments to manage project dependencies and communicate team progress. • Blocker Removal: Identify and resolve impediments for the team. Minimum Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in a leadership role managing software engineering teams. Prior experience as a software engineer with a strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and engineering best practices. Demonstrated ability to coach and develop engineers.
