Systems Development Engineer, WWGST Foundations Austin, Texas, USA Amazon's Worldwide Grocery Stores Tech (WWGST) Foundations org is looking for a passionate and innovative Systems Development Engineer to help tackle a diverse landscape of technical challenges that keeps the grocery business running. You will work on the most complex projects that will deliver innovative technical advancements for the Whole Foods Market. Key job responsibilities - Develop, deploy, and maintain reliable distributed solutions that operate at Amazon scale using core technologies including Java, ASP.NET, C/C#, Windows, Linux, and AWS services. - Solve complex, novel technical challenges on a daily basis while collaborating with cross-functional teams across Amazon and Whole Foods Market. - Drive innovation and redefine industry standards through the development of scalable solutions that impact customers and operations. - Contribute to continuous learning and growth in a dynamic environment that prioritizes both technical excellence and positive team culture. - Support our Higher Purpose of Nourishing People and the Planet through meaningful technical contributions that create lasting impact. Basic Qualifications: - 3+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience - 5+ years of building production software experience - Experience with full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations - 5+ years of high level programming (Java, .Net, C# etc.) experience, or Bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, automation engineering, or equivalent - Experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems, or experience in any
