About this role

Sr UX Designer, Kindle NEO Seattle, Washington, USA We're looking for a Senior UX Designer to join the Kindle UX Design team - a group of passionate designers, researchers, and builders united by a single mission: to enable customers to read more. If you believe that reading changes lives and want your work to reach millions of people around the world, this role is for you. In this position, you'll own the end-to-end design of Kindle reading experiences - from early concept to launch. You'll translate complex customer problems into clear, elegant solutions and bring them to life through wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups. You'll work collaborate with product managers, engineers, researchers and other designers, grounding every decision in customer insight and data. We're looking for someone with at least 8 years of UX design experience, a strong portfolio of end-to-end product work, fluency in tools like Figma, and experience using AI in the design process. Experience designing for consumer hardware or mobile platforms is important, and a background in reading apps, content discovery, or e-readers is a meaningful plus. You'll regularly present work to stakeholders and senior leadership, so the ability to tell a clear, compelling story about your design decisions is essential. Preferred candidates will also bring a demonstrated ability to think beyond individual features - recognizing patterns, anticipating downstream effects, and designing with the whole system in mind, creating solutions that are scalable, coherent, and resilient as the product evolves.
