About the Role AWS is looking for a highly motivated Solutions Architect to join the World Wide Public Sector Nonprofits practice. You'll serve as the technical lead for a portfolio of nonprofit research organizations, helping them design and implement cloud architectures that advance science at scale. This role sits within a sales and business development team - your technical expertise will directly inform planning and strategy. You'll need both the consultative and leadership skills to launch projects on a trajectory to success, and the ability to help diverse groups understand application architectures and integration approaches. What We're Looking For Someone who is passionate about helping nonprofits achieve their missions through technology. You bring: - Consultative skills - the ability to listen, understand customer needs, and translate them into technical solutions - Technical leadership - comfort guiding architectural design decisions and deep-diving into implementation details - Intellectual curiosity - a drive to keep your technical skills current while maintaining a pulse on industry trends - Communication skills - experience presenting to small and large groups, from whiteboard sessions to executive briefings - Operational awareness - understanding of web site/services operations, management, and security Key job responsibilities
